Hi I made this project to practice simple flash animated art and actionscript skills.

look around with the arrow keys on your keyboard

forest lapses between day and night every few minutes, you can watch the sun go through the sky if you pan up.

NOTES: I didn't figure out how to make the objects stop moving once you reached a certain point so it is possible to scroll past the forest but there is nothing to see so please ignore this problem...

Oh, And to fix your problem, you could have an if statement that stops the movement of the camera when a variable is reached. If you don't have a variable available, you can make one that goes up or down when the up, down and left or right buttons are pressed. Then use that variable.
